At the end of their final year students produce a collection which is then shown on runway to lecturers, fellow students, parents and buyers and prospective employers at the fashion show. This event is an event put on by a Fashion Department to showcase student's upcoming line of clothing every end of semester. This year, 'DIVERSITY & UNITY' become our theme. Our Fashion Dept. earlier this week hosted fourteen visiting foreign students who are from Hachiman High School, Japan. It's an event that they wanting to explore each other‘s culture more. Here at 'Bengkel Fashion' the lecturer teach them how to make 'Baju Kurung Kedah' because it is easy and simple to make in a short time. Because of the language barrier, we have a bit difficulty to communicate with them but everything going well. Last, but not least thanks to all the students who assist during the event. You guys doing a great job.
We expect that by engaging in this type of program, both sides will gain a better understanding of other cultures and broaden their horizons. Maybe our Fashion student will visit to other country someday? Hopefully...

Another successful Fashion Department trip! We spent 3 days at the place where strawberry and tea plantations are popular and a cool climate, where else..it's Cameron Highland. Organized by lecturers and committee, the trips are full with interesting activities and programs, but yet we still have time to shopping, sightseeing, exploring and much more.
Whoever missed it, hopefully you can join and participate and enjoy our next coming trip. Trust me, it's worth it!
On 18th September 08, Fashion Department had our breaking fast at our famous 'bengkel' :) . Attended by fashion students and lecturers, the event last up till 8.30pm. This is the first time Fashion Deparment having the break fast here and for sure there will be next year to look ahead. Thanks to the organizer for being a good host during the event, and thanks a lot to all the students who attend for this event and anyone who missed it, hopefully we will see you next year.
The Official Fashion Department's 2008 T-shirt is born! Finally we have our own merchandise, maybe it's only the beginning and hopefully more products to come. Anyway, we like to keep things simple for the design, because I believe we are creative people that take the complexity out of simplicity. It's simple, relevant and effective graphic design.
